VarieDrop is a free image resizer that allows you to quickly resize images based on four custom profiles. Each box at the program’s interface represents a profile. Drag and drop an image onto any of the boxes and the image will be resized according to the box’s setting automatically. You can even generate up to four different outputs from a single image.
Each box’s settings lets you specify the output format, new resolution, append the filename, save to a subfolder, adjust the JPEG quality, set a maximum file size, and keep transparent color for PNG and GIF images.
The fifth box is where you can generate multiple outputs using all or any of the other boxes’s settings. Drag an image or several images onto the fifth area and you will get four different outputs. You can simply remove the check mark of any of the boxes that you don’t want to use. For example, if you remove the check mark of the box/area 1, any image that you drag and drop onto the fifth area will result in three images whose each is generated based on the settings of box 2, box 3 and box 4.
You can also add the program to “Send To” menu—which can be configured from its option menu—so that you can resize and convert images quicker. Note that, however, the Send To option only executes the operations specified in the fifth box.
VarieDrop supports BMP, PNG, JPEG, TIFF and GIF images. It is a portable freeware compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8 (32/64bit).
