I used to put the most visited sites on the bookmark toolbar, but recently I’ve decided to move the list to the bookmark menu to get rid of the clutter. The bookmark menu itself, however, is rather a mess because it contains some items that I really don’t need. After searching for a while, I found a simple add-on to remove the items.
Simple bookmarks menu 0.8 hides all the unnecessary items once installed, leaving only the URLs and folders. And yes, it also removes the View Pocket List. If you want to unhide some of the items, you can choose which to hide and unhide via the add-on’s Option page in the extension manager.
Simple bookmarks menu is a restartless add-on that hides/unhides the following items:
- View Bookmarks Sidebar
- Show All Bookmarks (duplicate button in Firefox 30+)
- View Pocket List
- Subscribe to This Page
- Bookmarks Toolbar
- View Bookmarks Toolbar
- Unsorted Bookmarks
- Reading List
- Show All Bookmarks
- Bookmark This Page
- Open All in Tabs
